The Virtues of Hijab. The Virtues of Hijab.
1.An act of obedience.
The hijab is an act of obedience to Allah and to his prophet (pbuh), Allah says in the Qur'an: `It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His messenger have decreed a matter that they should have an option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, has indeed strayed in a plain error.' (S33:36).
Allah also said: 'And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc) and not to show off their adornment except what must (ordinarily) appear thereof, that they should draw their veils over their Juyubihinna.'(S24:31).
Juyubihinna: The respected scholars from As-Salaf As-Saleh (righteous predecessors) differed whether the veil cover of the body must include the hands and face or not. Today, respected scholars say that the hands and face must be covered. Other respected scholars say it is preferable for women to cover their whole bodies.
2.The Hijab is IFFAH (Modesty).
Allah (subhana wa'atala) made the adherence to the hijab a manifestation for chastity and modesty. Allah says: 'O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) over their bodies (when outdoors). That is most convenient that they should be known and not molested.' (S33:59). In the above Ayaah there is an evidence that the recognition of the apparent beauty of the woman is harmful to her. When the cause of attraction ends, the restriction is removed. This is illustrated in the case of elderly women who may have lost every aspect of attraction. Allah (swt) made it permissible for them to lay aside their outer garments and expose their faces and hands reminding, however, that is still better for them to keep their modesty.
3.The hijab is Tahara (Purity)
Allah (swt) had shown us the hikma (wisdom) behind the legislation of the hijab: `And when you ask them (the Prophet's wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and their hearts.' (S33:53).
The hijab makes for greater purity for the hearts of believing men and women because it screens against the desire of the heart. Without the hijab, the heart may or may not desire. That is why the heart is more pure when the sight is blocked (by hijab) and thus the prevention of fitna (evil actions is very much manifested. The hijab cuts off the ill thoughts and the greed of the sick hearts:
`Be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy or evil desire for adultery, etc) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner.' (S33:32)
4.The hijab is a Shield
The prophet (pbuh) said: "Allah, Most High, is Heaven, is Ha'yeii (Bashful), Sit'teer (Shielder). He loves Haya' (Bashfulness) and Sitr (Shielding; Covering)." The Prophet (pbuh) also said: "Any woman who takes off her clothes in other than her husband's house (to show off for unlawful purposes), has broken Allah's shield upon her. "The hadith demonstrates that depending upon the kind of action committed there will be either reward (if good) or punishment (if bad).
5. The hijab is Taqwah (Righteousness)
Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an: `O children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover yourselves (screen your private parts, etc) and as an adornment. But the raiment of righteousness, that is better.'(S7:26). The widespread forms of dresses in the world today are mostly for show off and hardly taken as a cover and shield of the woman's body. To the believing women, however the purpose is to safeguard their bodies and cover their private parts as a manifestation of the order of Allah. It is an act of Taqwah (righteousness).
6.The hijab is Eemaan (Belief or Faith)
Allah (swt) did not address His words about the hijab except to the believing women, Al-Mo'minat. In many cases in the Qur'an Allah refers to the "the believing women". Aisha (RA), the wife of the prophet (pbuh), addressed some women from the tribe of Banu Tameem who came to visit her and had light clothes on them, they were improperly dressed: "If indeed you are believing women, then truly this is not the dress of the believing women, and if you are not believing women, then enjoy it."
7. The hijab is Haya' (Bashfulness)
There are two authentic hadith which state: "Each religion has a morality and the morality of Islam is haya'" AND "Bashfulness is from belief, and belief is in Al-Jannah (paradise)". The hijab fits the natural bashfulness which is a part of the nature of women.
8.The hijab is Gheerah
The hijab fits the natural feeling of Gheerah, which is intrinsic in the straight man who does not like people to look at his wife or daughters. Gheerah is a driving emotion that drives the straight man to safeguard women who are related to him from strangers. The straight MUSLIM man has Gheerah for ALL MUSLIM women In response to lust and desire, men look (with desire) at other women while they do not mind that other men do the same to their wives or daughters. The mixing of sexes and absence of hijab destroys the Gheera in men. Islam considers Gheerah an integral part of faith. The dignity of the wife or daughter or any other Muslim woman must be highly respected and defended

Some hadiths
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "If a man person two Rakahs of Salah without the distraction of any worldly thought, all his previous sins will be forgiven."
---------------------------
Prayer is the first matter that will be judged on the Day of Resurrection - if it is accepted then the rest of our actions will be accepted, and if it is rejected then the rest of our actions will also be rejected.
---------------------------
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The five stated prayers erase the sins which have been committed during the intervals between them if they have not been mortal sins."
---------------------------
In a Hadith Qudsi (Prophet quoting Allah), the Prophet (PBUH) said, "Out of all the ways through which My servant gets closer to Me Salah is the dearest to Me."
---------------------------
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "He who uses the toothpick before Salaat it is seventy times more excellent if he didn't."
---------------------------
If a person does the Wazu (ablution) in the correct way, the parts which are washed during Wuzu wouldn't burn in the Hell fire, if the person (God forbid) goes there.
---------------------------
The Prophet(PBUH) said, "He who does not ask for favors Allah (SWT) is annoyed with him."
---------------------------
The Prophet(PBUH) said, "Du'aa (asking) is the essence of worship." (And we should always make our Du'aa to Allah (SWT) with the intention that whatever we are asking for will be granted.)
---------------------------
A believer who makes Du'aa receives one of three things:
1. Either he will quickly have his Du'aa answered,
2. or he will get in the Hereafter,
3. or something bad will be prevented from him equal to the value of his Du'aa.
(So no Dwa is ever wasted)
---------------------------
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "When a person performs the Salaat at the early designated time, the prayer ascends the sky, lighting it up on the way upward, to the topmost layer of the Heaven. On arrival there, it asks pardon for the person. Thus it will pray till Doomsday saying, "May it please Allah to care for you, as you have cared for me. And when a person performs prayers outside the designated time, the Salaat is ascended the sky showered in darkness. On reaching the sky it is rolled up like bundled clothes, and is used to smite the face of the person who performed it. While the Prayer itself says, "May it please Allah to deny you, as you have denied me."
---------------------------
If we were to do a Nafal (voluntary) Salaat, and for whatever the reason, couldnt finish it. A Kaziee (late makeup prayer) must be made for it, even though it wass voluntary to start with it.
---------------------------
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Steadfastness is better that 1000 miraculous deeds."
---------------------------
Angels attend Salat at the late night.
-------------
Once a man came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said I've come to take your life. The man was actually the Angel of Death in the form of a man and the Prophet (PBUH) told him to let me do my Salaat first. Both the Angels of Death and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did their Prayer together, and then the Holy Prophet (PBUH)`s life was taken. (What a beautiful end, to a beautiful life!)
O Believers of Islam! Who should be your most beloved person in reality? Of course, Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)! He should be the one whom Muslims must esteem and love the most, for we will not have our Iman completed unless we love him more than ourselves. On his deathbed, Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) demanded something too!!! No, he did not ask people to give him their lives. No, he did not ask people to give all of their savings in charity. He did NOT even ask people to build a mausoleum for him!
However, his last demand was not just for those who were present with him at that time. It was for the entire Ummah, even for the generations that were to come after him. During the illness that preceded his death, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) continued advising 'Ummah, "(Protect) the prayer, (protect) the prayer, and whom your hands possess (slaves)."

sIGHN of qiyamah(judgment)
Qiyamah will come when...
Hadhrat Abu Musa Ash'ari (R.A.) narrates that Rasulallah (Sallallahu Alayhii Wassallam) said, "Qiyamah will come...
* When it will be regarded as a shame to act on Quranic injunctions.
* When untrustworthy people will be regarded as trustworthy and the trustworthy will be regarded as untrustworthy.
* When it will be hot in winter (and vice versa).
* When the length of days is stretched, i.e. a journey of a few days is covered in a matter of hours.
* When orators and lecturers lie openly.
* When people dispute over petty issues.
* When women with children come displeased on account of them bearing offspring, and barren women remain happy on account of having no responsibility of offspring.
* When oppression, jealousy, and greed become the order of the day.
* When people blatantly follow their passions and whims.
* When lies prevail over the truth.
* When violence, bloodshed and anarchy become common.
* When immorality overtakes shamelessness and is perpetrated publicly.
* When legislation matters pertaining to Deen is handed over to the worst elements of the Ummat, and if people accept them and are satisfied with their findings, then such persons will not smell the fragrance of Jannat.
* When the offspring become a cause of grief and anger (for their parents).
The following is part of a lengthy Hadith narrated by Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood (R.A.) when he inquired from Rasulallah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) about the Signs of Qiyamah.
* Music and musical instruments will be found in every home.
* People will indulge in homosexuality.
* There will be an abundance of illegitimate children.
* There will be an abundance of critics, tale-carriers, back- biters and taunters in society.
* People will establish ties with strangers and sever relations with their near and dear ones.
* Hypocrites will be in control of the affairs of the community and evil, immoral people will be at the helm of business establishments.
* The Masjid will be decorated, but the hearts of the people will be devoid of guidance.
* The courtyards of Masjids will be built beautifully and high mimbars (pulpits) will be erected.
* Gangsters and evil people will prevail.
* Various wines will be consumed excessively.
Auf bin Malik (R.A.) says: I came to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) while he was in his skin tent during the Tabuk expedition. He said to me, "Count six things before the advent of Qiyamah:
1 My death
2 The conquest of Jerusalem
3 Mass deaths amongst you people, just as when sheep die in large numbers during an epidemic
4 Abundance of wealth to such an extent that if a person were to be given a hundred Dinars he will still not be satisfied
5 General anarchy and bloodshed, that no Arab household will be spared from it
6 Then a life of peace as a result of a peace agreement between you and the Banil Asfaar
(Romans) which they will break and attack you with a force consisting of eighty flags and under each flag will be an army of twelve thousand men." (Hadith: Sahih Bukhari).
